New Bedford – Philip Anthony Douglas was born in Boston MA, on 5-6-1970, he was 53 years old, born to Mary Taylor and the late Philip Solomon. Philip was unexpectedly called home on 8-24-2023.

He is survived by his son and daughter, Trey Douglas and Larrisa Jablonskis of Wareham Ma, his sisters Maria Depriest of Florida, Pamela Douglas of New Bedford Ma, Angela Green of Worcester Ma, April Solomon of Boston Ma, Renee Grace of New Bedford Ma, Kelly D. Solomon Joyner of Greensville North Carolina, and one brother Fredrick Douglas of Durham North Carolina. He also is survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

Philip was well known for his contagious smile, his love for his family and friends, also his bond he shared with his son over sports. Philip was proud of his daughter and all her accomplishments. He also was proud of his accomplishments obtaining his CDL, then moving on to driving the city bus. He will be missed for his side step dancing at all the family gatherings, his sense of humor, and lastly his wet kisses.

Philip’s service will be held at the Union Baptist Church located on 109 Court Street, New Bedford, MA from 12:00 P.M. – 1:00 P.M. All attendees are kindly asked to meet directly at the church. Cremation will follow.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth Street, New Bedford MA.
