Priscilla “Pat” Correia Alexander passed away on January 19, 2025 at the age of 99. She was the beloved wife of the late Alphonse Alexander, who passed away in 1999. Born in New Bedford, MA she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Emma (England) Correia.
She is survived by her sons, David Rose and his wife, Carol of Dartmouth, MA and PeterAlexander and his wife, Vivian, of Acushnet, MA. She also leaves behind her brother, Donald Correia and his wife, Jeanne of Dartmouth MA, and her sister Florence Lafferier of West Virginia. She was the sister of the late Lawrence, Raymond, Charles, James Correia and Elsie DeLacy.
She is also survived by five grandchildren. Daniel, Jeffrey, Jennifer, Cheryl and Peter. She had eleven great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was affectionately known by her great-grandchildren as “Vovó Kit-Kat,” a name she earned for always having a chocolatey treat ready to share. A devoted cat lover, Pat often reminisced about her cat Hoppy.
She was employed most of her life at the Berkshire Hathaway Cloth Room until its closure in 1985. She enjoyed reading, shopping at Benny's, Big Value Outlet and especially loved sending in birthday requests to Pete Braley on WBSM. She truly loved her family and will be deeply missed.
The family would like to thank the staff at Brandon Woods in New Bedford for the wonderful care she received for the past 8 years. They all became her second family. Also, they would like to thank New England Hospice for their wonderful and compassionate care given to her in her last few years of her life, especially her last few days.
Priscilla's visiting hours with her cremains will be held at Perry Funeral Home on Saturday, February 21, 2026 from 9:30 A.M. - 10:00 A.M. with a service at 10:00 A.M. Burial of her cremains will follow immediately in St. John's Cemetery.
