Raymond Joseph Duff

Raymond Joseph Duff “Duffy”, age 74, of Dartmouth, MA, passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at St. Luke’s Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was the cherished husband of Claire (Quintin) Duff, his beloved wife of 57 years with whom he shared a life filled with love and companionship.

Born in New Bedford, MA, on August 6, 1951, Raymond was the beloved son of Joseph and Rose (Acucena) Duff. He built a long carreer in the electronic components industry, where he proudly owned and operated his own business, Package Technologies Inc. out of Taunton, MA. Raymond's memory will be cherished by all who knew him, and he will be deeply missed.

Throughout his life, Raymond enjoyed many hobbies with his family and friends including bmx racing with his sons, primitive camping (living history), golfing, attending NASCAR races, building model trains, snowmobiling, and watching football.

Raymond leaves behind his devoted wife, Claire Duff, his sons Jeremy and his wife Rana of Swansea, MA, Benjamin of Smithfield, RI, and Andrew his wife Alicia of New Bedford; his grandchildren Quinn, Matthew, Charlotte, & Grace. He is also survived by his sisters Sandra and her husband Robert Bettencount, Debra and her husband Clement Allain, along with many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Lorraine Scanlon.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visiting hours, which will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Perry Funeral Home from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. His funeral will take place on Wednesday morning, beginning in the funeral home at 9:00 AM. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Julie Billiart Church at 10:00 AM. Burial will immediately follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Perry Funeral Home, located at 111 Dartmouth St, New Bedford, MA, which offers a welcoming environment with ample lighted parking and a handicap-accessible ramp for all those wishing to pay their respects.
