Rosalie A. Sylvia

Rosalie A. (Souza) Sylvia, age 87, of Dartmouth, MA, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2025, at Mill Brook Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Robert Sylvia Sr.

Born in Dartmouth, MA, Rosalie was the cherished daughter of the late Manuel Souza and Pearl (Sylvia) Souza. Throughout her life, she contributed her talents as a stitcher for various local clothing manufacturers, leaving a lasting mark on those who knew her through her skill and dedication. Rosalie will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family and her quiet strength, leaving a legacy of warmth and kindness that will endure in the hearts of all who knew her.

Rosalie is survived by her husband, Robert Sylvia Sr.; her children, Robert Sylvia Jr. and Janet Wilson, along with her husband Dennis Wilson. She took great pride in her family, who will cherish her memory forever, including her grandchildren, Jillian Derby, Jennifer Sylvia, Sara Lewis, Brooke Murdock, and Robert G. Sylvia. Additionally, she is remembered fondly by several nieces and nephews, as well as her sister, Priscilla Maurice.

She was predeceased by her brothers and sister: the late Robert Souza, Daniel Souza, and Diane Dupont; and her late daughter-in-law, Laurie (Ditata) Sylvia.

Rosalie’s visiting hours and funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2025. Visiting hours will take place from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M., with a service to follow at 12:00 P.M. Burial will immediately ensue in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
