Rosemary A. Medeiros

New Bedford – Rosemary A. (Amaral) Medeiros, age 68, of New Bedford passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at St. Luke’s Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Carlos T. Medeiros.

Rosemary was born in Faial, Portugal and was the beloved daughter of the late Antonio Amaral and Maria (Miguel) Amaral. She had been a teacher’s aide in the Special Needs Department at the Alfred J. Gomes Elementary School for many years.

Rosemary is survived by her loving husband, Carlos T. Medeiros; her beloved son, Chris Medeiros; sister, Lisa Verrier; brother, Bobby Amaral; sister-in-law, Dolores Medeiros; nieces, Savannah, Ayla and Melissa; nephews, Jeff, Brenden and Jarid. She is also survived by her godchildren Courtney, Donovan, Annette, Robbie, Alayhna, Michelle and Nyles.

Rosemary’s visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at Perry Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. Her funeral will take place on Thursday morning, beginning in the funeral home at 9:00 A.M. and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in Rural Cemetery.
