Sandra Freitas

New Bedford – Sandra (McNamara) Freitas, age 80, of New Bedford, MA passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at The Oaks. She was the beloved wife of the late Manuel Freitas Jr.

Sandra was born in Norwood, MA and was the loving daughter of the late John McNamara and Elizabeth (Orris) McNamara. 

She is survived by her sister, Barbara Pember; brothers, Gene McNamara and Gerald McNamara; 2 step-sons, Alan J. Freitas and David J. Freitas; her dear friend, Kenneth Sylvia; as well several nieces and nephews.

She was sister of the late, Carol Wethington, Sally Barrett, John McNamara and Bert McNamara.

Sandra’s visiting hours will be held on Monday afternoon, April 15, 2024 from 2:00 P.M. – 5:00 P.M. Her funeral will take place Tuesday morning, beginning in the funeral home at 9:00 A.M. and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church Dartmouth. Burial will immediately follow in South Dartmouth Cemetery.
