Seibert McCague

New Bedford – Seibert McCague, age 80, of New Bedford, passed away on Friday, January 21, 2022 at his home with his loved ones by his side. He was the beloved husband of the late Betsy L. (Caton) McCague.

Seibert was born in Hampton, VA to the late Seibert G. McCague and Anna (Swedrack) Trimble. He had served in the United States Air Force and later went to work as a truck driver. He enjoyed camping, scuba diving and especially spending time with his family.

He is survived by his 3 children, James W. McCague and his fiancé Debra martin, Anne M. and her husband James and Ellen McCague and her partner Theresa Murray; 5 grandchildren, Melissa Vieira and her husband Manny, Mathew Benevides and his fiancé Jamie Gifford, Cheryl Benevides and her partner James Baptista, Tyler McCague and his wife Emily and Zachary McCague; sister, Mary Trimble; as well as several great-grandchildren.
