Toshiko Moniz

Toshiko (Fugisaki) Moniz, age 94, of New Bedford, Massachusetts, passed away on July 29, 2026, at Sacred Heart Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Moniz Jr. and mother to the late Charles Moniz.

Born on June 15, 1932 in Japan, Toshiko was the cherished daughter of the late Takio Fugisaki and Shiki (Fukuda) Fugisaki. She moved to the United States in 1956 and settled in this area where she had worked as an assembler for Goldline Connectors, an Electronics Manufacturer for many years.

Toshiko is survived by her daughters Lillian Connor and Mary Robinson. Her grandchildren Joseph Moniz, Amy Bailey, Kim Sandel, Nicole Connor, Kyle Chevalier, Holly Maneval and 14 great grandchildren.
