Yelitza (Fernandez) Rodriguez

Yelitza (Fernandez) Rodriguez, age 52, of New Bedford, MA, passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at Boston Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. Yelitza was a cherished wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, and sister.

Born on June 27, 1973, in Coamo, Puerto Rico, she was the beloved daughter of Santiago Fernandez and Vidalia Lopez. Yelitza dedicated her life to being a loving homemaker, nurturing her family with deep affection and unwavering support throughout the years.

She is survived by her husband, Ismael Rodriguez Sr.; her sons, Ismael Rodriguez Jr. and Dakota Rodriguez; her daughter, Jealexis Rodriguez; and her cherished granddaughter, Violet Demello. Yelitza also leaves behind her mother, Vidalia Lopez; multiple siblings; as well as many nieces and nephews who will fondly remember her warmth and kindness.

Yelitza's life was marked by her random outburst, acts of kindness and love, and she will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Yelitza's visiting hours will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Perry Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. A funeral service will take place during this time. Cremation will follow.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Perry Funeral Home, located at 111 Dartmouth St, New Bedford, MA, which offers a lighted parking lot and a handicap-accessible ramp and entrance for all who wish to pay their respects.
